This project was carried out on the 10TH of MAY 2021 at Fons of fons hall Nkwen Bamenda under the supervision of the Ndamnsa Caleb. This project aimed at helping the widows and IDP learning how to make their own home made detergents for laundry and Vaseline for their own homes. This project begun at exactly 12 o'clock on that Sunday. Assembling of the widows and the IDP. A word of prayer from of coach who welcomed everyone and we had quite an attendance of about 30 audiences. A brief history about smiles Africa was given by the project coordinator and necessary talks were made on the uses of soap and detergents especially in the times of the pandemic. We had 3 workshops to run that lasted us about 4 hours at the venue. These workshops were the production of soap, the production of detergent and the production of local Vaseline. To begin with, the coach in theory gave detail explanations on the production of these workshops and thereafter we came to the production of these items. He and a group of volunteers in a practical class removed their chemical solutions and explained their function till we had finished the production of the detergents. This process continued and all these workshops were completed and realized in the various batches. Coach Romeo as well gave the steps and the precautionary measure of these chemicals used in production and how careful they should be when carrying on their personal spaces. Everyone who had never seen how soap or Vaseline was ever produced was amazed and happy for being part of this production. Successful interviews were carried out to know how impacting this exercise was to them. They exercised joy and gratitude to smiles Africa and the coach on such wonderful gesture saying it could really cut down home cost on their path. Questions on whatever was not understood was clarified and a group forum was created to even help continue the learning process as the could ponder back in their house if need be. A host of the volunteers and the audience also congratulated the coach for the great work. Coach Romeo gave an example of old school teaching since the majority of the audience was the aged. And so we came to the end of our training session on the production of the detergents and Vaseline. Everyone went home with a good quantity of these items, transport fare and with the love Smiles Africa shares to the world.
