Food, help around the home, prayer and companionship brought a personal expression of care to a widow in Meta Quarters.

In Meta Quarters, Bamenda, Smiles Africa volunteers spent time with a widow, sharing practical support and companionship in her home.
The team brought food and clothing and helped with everyday household care. Volunteers swept and mopped, changed bed sheets, did laundry and offered assistance with personal care. Time for prayer and conversation was part of the visit too.
There is a particular tenderness in care offered close to home. A meal, fresh bedding and someone willing to stay and listen can make a visit deeply personal.
This outreach centred on being present with one person and responding with respect to her everyday needs. The team’s service brought practical help and human company together.
Thank you to the volunteers and supporters whose kindness made the visit possible. Through these simple acts, love found a place in the ordinary moments of the day.
