EMPOWER CYCLE
A wide range of Workshops designed to empower and equip different social groups :widows, orphans, girls, boys, less privileged, volunteers, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) through a blend of virtual and onsite workshops. The program focuses on building intellectual capacity, financial independence, and high-demand employable and entrepreneural skills.
Participants are trained in practical, market-relevant skills such as digital literacy, vocational and technical skills, entrepreneurship, financial management, leadership, and personal development. Through mentorship, hands-on learning, and real-world exposure, beneficiaries are prepared to become self-reliant, employable, and economically productive members of society. The project is designed to impact 1000 individuals yearly creating a ripple effect of empowerment within their families and communities.
Motivation
Since October 2018, conflict in Cameroon’s English-speaking regions and the Boko Haram insurgency have displaced over 1 million people, mostly women and children. OCHA reports 346,000 IDPs in the Southwest,100,000 in the Northwest, and 300,000+ in the Littoral Region, with UNHCR projecting the displaced population could exceed 1.5 million. Addressing this crisis requires an estimated USD 407.3 million
The influx of displaced persons has strained food systems, healthcare, education, housing, and employment in host communities. and other African countries. Widows, orphans, IDPs, and underserved youth remain trapped in poverty due to limited access to education, skills, and economic opportunities. In an evolving economy, high-demand skills and financial literacy are essential for self-reliance. The Empower Cycle Project addresses this need by equipping 1000 beneficiaries with practical skills to rebuild their lives with dignity, resilience, and sustainable independence.

Despite this data the problem of IDPs continually increases and this is because a lot of helping institutions and individuals have not performed monitored sustainable actions to this problem. At Smiles Africa it is our mission to impact the lives of the less privileged, widows and orphans through sustainable developments and actions. This project will be addressing the problem of poverty, hunger, and unemployment so as to attain a sustainable goal which is happy lives.
Our Mission
To empower widows, orphans, IDPs, and underserved Individuals with high-demand skills, financial literacy, and practical knowledge that promote self-reliance, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods.
We have seen too many lives defined by displacement and poverty and this project exists to change that story by turning loss into learning. When we invest in skills, confidence, and opportunity, we don’t just change individual lives, we strengthen entire communities because empowerment is more than aid; it is access.

Latest Causes
This project seeks to train and empower widows and IDP’s of ages 22-45 yearly in Africa with IT skills and advanced agriculture technologies.
Through this project we donate food items to widows orphanages and less privileged Africans.
This project aims to build skills for all youths between the ages of 10-21 years and enable free access to education for orphans, less privileged and conflict affected persons.
SANTA BOX
This is a yearly program in which we prepare and donate Christmas gift boxes to needy orphans and individuals to share with them the Christmas spirit.
